Transport Planner / Logistics Scheduler
We are currently recruiting for a switched-on logistics controller who has a solid administrative background and a strong background in transport route planning and scheduling. The role would suit someone who has exceptional organisational skills, strong communications skills and the ability to remotely manage drivers, ensuring deliveries are made on schedule and in line with an agreed timetable.
Working in a small team and carrying your own planning responsibility for a customer base, the role will be busy and require a strong eye for detail as well as a good understanding of HGV logistics. Specifically, the are looking for someone who can demonstrate: –
- Knowledge of transport industry and ideally the relevant legislation such as Operators Licence awareness (o-licence) or driver CPC
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Strong admin skills with a proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to delegate tasks
- Previous Haulage or Logistics experience.
In return, the company is offering a starting salary of £21-26,000 dependent on experience and qualifications. The hours of work are Monday-Friday with a slight shift rotation – earliest start 7am, latest finish 6.30pm and a 40-hour week.
