This client based in East Yorkshire between Hull and York are hiring a Technical Support Engineer. The post holder will be working on both projects and in a support role. It is a diverse role dealing with small and large SME clients across the UK.
Installing and supporting mainstream technologies, networking and security solutions as well as Cloud services. The ideal candidate will be a key part of a highly motivated technical team and have excellent customer interaction skills.
Work as a team to deliver timely resolution to customer requests by phone, email and automated monitoring.
An ability to document customer issues and articulate in non-technical jargon are essential.
Delivering new hardware and software solutions to new and existing customers, requiring both onsite and offsite work.
Technology skills required.
Windows Server OS incl 2008, 2008R2, 2012 and possibly 2016
MS Exchange 2010, 2103, 2016 – build, install, upgrade, migrate.
Office 365 – setup, migrate, licensing.
Virtualisation using VMware or Hyper V – ideally clustered experience.
Active Directory (AD) Group policy DNS etc.
The role will require some participation in an on-call rots and some time and a half overtime.
