Civil Engineering Project Manager
To £50k + car / car allowance + package
Our client, as part of continued expansion, is looking for a Civil Engineering Project Manager to join their successful team. The role will be key within the business, taking responsibility for operational activities, maintaining quality standards and driving the delivery of key projects. The ideal background for this role is: –
- Strong experience (ideally 5 years+) within civil engineering, structural engineering, highway maintenance, surfacing, bridge construction or similar at managerial level
- Strong people manager
- Good customer facing skills
- Delivery focused
- Strong commercial skills – budgets, costings, reports, etc
- H&S awareness (RAMS reports, etc)
- IT skills
The focus of this position is to control and coordinate activities and drive projects forward so it will be a varied and sometimes challenging role. It is not a requirement for someone to have come up “from the tools” but you do need to understand the industry, know the language, etc in order to command respect. The role will be partially office based but also involve travel to project sites within the South East.
